Our team of licensed clinicians specializes in the treatment of substance use disorder, mental health and co-occurring disorders in children, adolescents and adults, so you can be confident that the care your patient receives is tailored to their individual needs.

What is your fax number?

What is the best way to send a referral?

The best way to send a referral to us is whichever way is easiest for you. You can fax, call 207-767-0991, or submit online, and we will get it.

What information is needed for a referral?

Our referral form asks you to provide the basic information we will need to get started helping the person you are referring to us. We will ask you to provide the patient’s name, date of birth, what type of service is needed, and whether or not the patient is aware of the referral. If there is anything special we should know about the referral, for example, if they have risk factors or need specific accommodations, we provide space for you to let us know.

What programs are available?

Day One offers a continuum of care services—assessment and evaluation, residential, outpatient, medication management and case management. We provide substance use residential treatment for 13–20 year olds, outpatient therapy for individuals and families, case management for all ages, medication-assisted treatment and counseling for substance abuse disorder, psychiatric medication management, school-based counseling, and DEEP (Driver Education and Evaluation Program).

What are the age ranges for your services?

We focus on the individualized needs of those we care for and create customized treatment for the entire family—children, adolescents, and adults.

What is your waitlist timeline?

While each of our programs may from time-to-time have a wait list depending on a variety of factors, we are always accepting new clients.

Will you follow up with us after we refer?

If you request that we follow up with you about your referral, we will happily do so.

What insurance do you work with?

Day One proudly provides services to MaineCare and Medicare beneficiarties and accepts most commercial insurances, such as Harvard Pilgrim, Aetna, United Healthcare and BC/BS If you would like, contact us and we can let you know whether or not we accept your insurance.

How has Covid-19 affected services?

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected most businesses and services, and we are no exception. We have limited in-person contact while increasing the use of telehealth, which allows us to reach more people virtually. For all in-person sessions, we follow CDC guidelines and require masking and proper sanitation. We know that by working together, we will get through this period.

Are you doing any in-person services?

Because of the pandemic, our in-person services are limited, at the clinician’s discretion, and follow all CDC guidelines.
